Position Summary: A frontline hands on position that supports the agency, in areas of grants reporting, financial reporting and accounting functions including and not limited to hands-on grant submissions and analysis. In addition, position will be responsible for various accounting functions including and not limited to monthly journal entries and reconciliations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS GRANTS MANAGEMENT
· Maintains a complete electronic system of grants filing as needed to ensure compliance with funding and reporting requirements for the DOE UPK, IDEA and other grants.

· Responsible for effectively setting up the grants spreadsheets to ensure proper reporting.

· Maintains the grants AR sub-ledger and ensures that the receivables are appropriately recorded and managed for the relevant grants.

· Responsible for the submission of the monthly, quarterly and annual claims to appropriate funding sources.

· Responsible for posting all grants billing and associated cash receipts to the general ledger.

· Runs and prepares supporting monthly financial analysis as needed.

· Prepares salary reclassification journal entries as needed.

· Preparation of audit spreadsheets and reporting for all grants.

· Assists budget department in preparation of annual grants budgets and forecasting.

· Assists with preparation and input of the Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR) as needed.

· Ad-hoc projects as needed.

ACCOUNTING FUNCTIONS

· Monthly journal entries related to grants billing.

· Bank reconciliations.

· Various monthly journal entries (accruals, allocations, etc.).

· Grant related journal entries.

· Ad-hoc projects as needed.

EDUCATION
A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field is required. A relevant master’s degree is a strong plus.

EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years of experience in a complex accounting, grants and analysis role. Non-profit experience is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year

  • Monday to Friday
